Earirngs and my make up bag

Hello

I'm back. No real reason for not blogging for a while because I have been down in Swansea having my teeth done.

So just to ease myself back in.....:) Earrings from the Oasis sale

I am so pleased with these because they go so well with my new dress

I thought this would look a bit lighter than my black ones for the christening.

I have seen other ladies post about make up bags so I thought I would share mine with you

Waldo Pancake make up bag, I love this made me smile

Bourjours foundation, I like this because its light and really easy to blend in. I actaully have a MAC foundation but it takes so long to blend in that i lose patience with it, this suits me much better

Chanel Intensify mascara

I bought this after having a freebie when I bought a Chanel lipgloss for my friends borthday and I love it however it does clump really easily, I am thinking about moving towards a clinique one after borrowing some (naughty me!) from a friend

Dandelion by benefit, the only blusher I have every worn. I am so pale I worry about trying new colours in case I end up loking like a clown....I think I am a bit boring make up wise.

And for everyday thats it! Then if I am going out I add one of these

Love the colours, although I tend to be a bit of a wimp and only really wear the silver

Last but not least

Urban decay pallette! Love any sparkly eyeshadows.

Now I do have another bag full of bits and bobs that I don't usually wear so i am not going to bother with that stuff on here. My make up isn't very exciting I am afraid, what I really would love to be able to do is apply eyeliner, I have tried pencils, gels, pens and brushes and it always ends up near my eyebrows. I would also love to do false lashes but after a bad experience with them where Ix ended up not being able to open one eye I am a bit scared to try again!

Any other ladies struggle with any make up application?

Lucky lady

Hello there!

Ooooh I have a lovely few days, lots of pims has been consumed, lots of gossip has been exchanged and good times have been had!

Yesterday I had a lovely afternoon in london with my friend, we went to Fortune and Masons, I had never been there before! I saw some lovely gifts that I may get for Christmas presents......dear dear..........already thinking about Christmas!

Was so lovely in there! Not like real life!

So today I was a lazy lady popped into town and was so happy to get this in the Oasis sale

Love the thick straps and neckline

Close up of the neckline. I am planning to wear this to a christening in october think it will be pretty with a black cardie. Also be a lovely sundress for my holidays

Quck haulage from boots, all from my advantage card points! Was so in need to the body scrub

Then last but not least I popped in the library and they had a book thats been on my wishlist! So happy

I have only just started this but it is soooooooooo good! If you haven't looked at any of Rosie thomas's books I really recommend them!

I am off to Swansea tomorrow for the dreaded dentist of doom appointments :(

Hope you are all having a lovely time!

I'm smiling (despite the rain)

Good afternoon!

My goodness I cannot believe the rain! I don't think I have ever seen it so hard in this country for so long. I was just looking at the news and there have been flash floods in Dorset. Its August!!!

I must admit though I am smiling, I have had a lovely few days. Went out for pims with one of the girls from work on tuesday and wore my lovely new frock, excuse the rubbish photos, I took them standing on the toilet. My mirror still isn't in stock

I popped it on with black leggings and black flats. I accesorized it with this watch

My parents gave me this last christmas and I love it. the catch is really difficult to put on though so if I am rushing it usually gets left off!

What have you all got planned for this rainy day?

Cat that got the cream!

Hello

I have just come back from being out and about! Isn't it funny, how you can go from having nothing to do to having arther a busy social life indeed!

Anyway I went into twon to post some ebay stuff I sold and then wandered along to matalan.

I wore

I love the print on this, when I bought it (think its last years) my dad said it reminded him of my nans curtains! Its from Republic although I have to say the quality is shocking! This was paired with plain black leggings, uggs and

Grey cardie from peacocks, not somewhere I usually shop but it was when I went for my fishy pedicure, I got cold! This is lovely and soft am going to see how well it washes if its good i am going to get a black one, my black boyfriend cardie has a hole in it!

Anyway in matlan I decided that cream was the way forward

Love it so much

Then I got

I heart this. Thinking with really thick black tights and heels for a night out. I very rarely buy skirts, I am more a dresses or trousers girl. How would you wear this, where would wear it?

any help from you stylish ladies would be much appreciated!

Doing, buying,wearing

Hello

The title to this actaully sounds like I have been doing something.........in actual fact I have been so lazy! It sounds silly but it is actually very hard to get motivated when your doing nothing! Its hard as well because most of my teacher friends are away and of I go home people aren't teachers so don't have the time. My own fault because I know I need to plan things to do in the summer!

Anyway I went out and about today to do some errands and I wore

Green gladiators from Matalan two years ago forgot how much I like these

White linen trousers Matalan, green T-shirt primark, crappy piccy by G-Unit in her housemates room. Mirror is on my wish list atm but argos are out of stock!

Anyway I have been buying

3 new books.......I really shouldn't have bought these because I have a library card and I have been soooooooooo good this year! Oooops! I also bought a lovely pink academic year diary. I also had three for two on these lovely cookies from M&S. It was such a hard decision which flavours to get! In the end I got Black Forest Gateax, white chocolate and blueberry and oat! Yum yum!

Library books! Never read any Lisa Jewell or Kate Harrison so am looking forward! Also I picked up a Sarah Challis book in my earlier haul and I like it lots!

For some reason I can't comment on other peoples blogs atm......v sorry about this cos I would really like too!

What a week!

WARNING - ANGRY POST

Oh my what a week! I am completely confused by the whole weeks events with the rioting and looting spreading from London to Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol! I just cannot believe this is happening, what is going through these kids minds? Where are their parents?

I hae been following these stories pretty closely during the week and was quite interested in last nights question time. What really made me cross was one of the speakers (can't remember his name) said that state schools must take some responsibility for the rioters!!!! Um......as a teacher in a state school I would like to point out the following

Children are ultimatly a parents responsibility. If parents cannot discipline their children how are schools expected to wave a magic wand

A lot of parents do not support schools. Look at the parents of some of these children, taking them to court then swearing at the media, not taking thee things seriously, do you think they are going to support the school?

If  a child comes from a home where discipline is not enforced how can anybody expect the child to accept discipline from schools.

The government have reduced the number of  pupil referal units, these are like gold dust so students who need to be in them are unable to be, there are simply too few units and places

Schools are fined for permanently excluding pupils - doesn't send a good message to other students or families, to a teenager this will look like there is no consequence for poor behaviour.

The Government has cut teachers power over students, we have very few ways of sanctioning poor behaviour.

I undertstand the above are generalised and are just my views on the situation

Appy feet!!!

Look away if you don't like fish or feet!

I went to appy feet in Cardiff for my first Garu Reefa pedicure! Oh my goodness it was such a weird feeling at first! My friend and I went in and it cost £10 for 15 minutes, we were given crocs to pop on and were asked to wash our feet then off we went. The water wasn't cold at all but it was such a strange sensation! I am not at all ticklish but my friend is and she didn't find it tickled her, the best way I can discribe it is like a jacuzzi!

The 15 mins went really quickly and the results were lovely! For the first time in ages I am not ashamed of my toes!

Appy feet gave me and my friend a card, if we go 5 more times we can a 15 min session free!

Would you like 'appy feet'?

Happy days (photo heavy)

Hello

Hope eveyone is well. If you didn't already know the Matalan sale is on and is well worth a look. Being a teacher type I am off on my 6 weeks holidays at the moment. I was supposed to be going to Greece but to cut a long story short that fell thorugh. I am however going to Feuterventura in the Oct half term and that will NOT fall though.

I wasn't overly enthusiastic about Geece and about a week ago I relaised I didn't have a bikini so I trotted along to the shops and found very little I liked because of the sales. However I thought I have to get one so I came away with this from New Look

To be honest although the style is nice I wasn't fussed and when I found out I wasn't going to Greece I took it back. Then when I went to Matalan for the price of the one above I came away with these two babies!

I couldn't get the matching bottoms although there were LOADS of the top (weird, must be a lot of topless people running round South Wales at the mo) but I figured it will look fine with plain black bottoms

close up of the top

Second bikini. I love this so much, not sure the colour will do much for me but I like it. You can take the strap off which I intend to

I also picked up

Bargin pencil skirt reduced to £3.00! Perfect for work

boring white ba, but with gel inserts! Big boobs here I come! ha ha

And finally

Black chandeliers! I don't usually wear much jewellry although I always have some sort of earings in but I went out last night and all the girls were so well accesorised I felt that I would like to get on it!

Much love G-Unit xxx

Riverisland lust!

Hello

Went for a mooch around few shops today and did pretty well in the Mataln sale, will show you later. One shop I went in just for a nose was Riverisland. Now I haven't bought anything in there for years. Actully can't remember the last thing I did buy. For quite a while I have found them quite expensive and maybe a little bit too wild for me.
So imagine my surprise when I went in there and found these three beauties that are now on my wishlist

Love this! Was thinking black tights and boots and a cardie my black leather jacket and a cream scarf. Not sure if it would need a belt.

I love this top for work! Now I saw it which the same bib detailing but the top itself was in coffee! Absolutely gorgeous!

I just love these! Not sure waht I have got that will go with them but LOVE!!!! I dont wear much jewellry but I do love a good pair of danglies!

Any shops you have been avoiding which you are drifitng back to? Any thoughts on Riverisland?

Don't you love it when..........

you buy an item of clothing that just will go with so much!!

Take this top

I bought it today planning on wearing it with black trousers or a black pencil skirt, but then I had a thought and it is actually much more versitile than that.

I can wear it with skinny jeans

With denim shorts

 Or white linen trousers

Very pleased with this as a buy!!! Had a bad day because I had to have work done at the dentist so was feeling a bit sorry for myself to say the least, this top properly cheered me up!
