lovely La Senza

There is a horrible rumour going around.......that la senza is.....no more? Apparently it is going into administation! I was really shocked when I read about this, I have never seen a La Senza store empty and I didn't really think there was any main rival to them? I know most stores do pjs and a few undies but not in the same scale.....and they do such special pretty things! I usually have christmas pjs from them and the quality is really good and over the years I have had several bra and knicker sets! Am quite sad!

I did read they are looking for a buyer so I really hope they get one

Miss Selfridge madness

Hello one and all

Hope you are all having a good pre new years eve few days! I have been having my annual MOT....had my nails done, teeth checked (I had a lot of work done on my mouth earlier this year so have lots of check ups now because I am totally paranoid) and had my hair cut and coloured.

I also got a package of things I ordered from the Miss Selfridge sale just before Christmas

Silvery clutch bag, this has a chain so can go across the body as well. I had a navy dress for Christmas and thought this would go with it well.

Across the body black quilted bag, i love this so much, really do prefer being 'hands free' wherever possible

And a dress.........

Now this was probably a silly buy, I cannot imagine where I will wear it or how I am going to style it but....I just fell in love and seeing as it was half price. Now these pics do not do it any justice so I will have to out it on and show you the whole thing but I am still staying with my parents and have no full length mirror so here are some really bad photos

Now I am on a strict spending ban until March at least! I am Reading bound tomorrow then off to Kent with a friend for New Years Eve, back to Reading New years day and back to work on the 4th for an inset day and the students come back on Thurs. the weekend I have to come back down to Swansea and then boot camp starts again on Monday 9th....yey I have missed it!!!


No more spending for the G Unit.....have to many things planned and too many clothes I don't wear!

hats and scarves

Hope all are well! As anybody who has checked out my blog will know I do love a scarf and I was lucky to recieve these two for Christmas

The Star one of from my mum and is reversible, I think I like the white side even better. I am not sure where the colourful one is from but it was a gift from a friend and I had pink gloves with it too.

My mum also bought my this from Marks and Spencers sale, reduced from £25.00 to £7.00!!!

I never wear hats but I quite like this. Makes me think of a cloche type hat from Downturn Abby!Excuse the rather rough photo.

Ooops!

Hello

Merry Christmas!! Am so happy we have finished for the year! No more school until 4th January! Now much as I love my job (and I really really do) I am so happy to have a break!

I have driven down to South Wales but have forgotten my camera which is a shame so will have to steal my parents to blog. Today is going to be a lazy day, me and my mum are having our nails done later then I am meeting my friend and my godson for dinner, we were going to go to the winter wonderland in Swansea and go on the big wheel but the weather is AWFUL! Not sure that is going to happen then I am meeting up with people from sixth form for a reunion.......haven't seen them in years (some of them it will be 10 years) so am looking forward to having a catch up.

I bought this little number in Miss Selfridge yesterday. I did have the Primark version but after two wears it completely lost its shape and to be honest looked at a bit strange but I loved the style so I thought I would go for it

I am also hoping to pick this up (again from Miss S) because it is half price in the sale and it ticks all my boxes, across the body, quite big and quilted

Hope is everybody is as excited as I am for Christmas!

Black Magic!

ooooh one week to go! So exciting! We finish school on Tuesday, I can't blooming wait! :) We had our first Christmas do last night (just the humanities department) then we have our full staff do on Tuesday night!

Well in honour of my car (his name is Egbert) everything I have ourchased this week has been black! Here he is (sorry very proud of him)

I bought these from Mataln because I broke my other black going out shoes, love them but they are WRECKED from the club last night :O

and still staying on my colour theme wrapping paper to fisnish off my pressies

Exciting times!

Hello!

I am such a bad blogger at the moment, have no idea why! I mean work is extremely busy at the moment because we have a load of end of term reviews on (fun) but I tend to come home late, go to bootcamo if its Mon or Weds but otherwise just stretch out on front of the box usually complaining I am bored....perfect time to blog! Madness!

Anyway it is such an exciting time of year, I am very smugly all finished with my major Christmas shopping just need to get:-
chocolate oranges for my year team (I cannot buy these too early or I eat them......no self control!)

Chocolate bit and bobs for my family, hazelnut whirls for dad, after eights for mum and ferer roche for nan (I have a very small family) again can't buy them yet cos I will eat them!

And something small but funny for my lovely housemate....havent decided on this yet!

So when Christmas does get here I will be driving this

I have just bought her (not the car but this model/colour) A ford Fiesta 1.25 Style. i cannot tell you how excited I am! About 2 weeks ago my card brakes went funny, i have already spent so much money on the brakes so I went back to a third garage (evryone has told me something different and no-one had foxed the damn thing) anyway this garage quoted me £1100!!!! Its more than the card worth! So I said thanks but no thanks and went to pick it up......and the battery had died! completely, couldn't even be jumped! So after a good cry, a moan at my mum and dad and a search of the inetrnet I thought sod it....and my new baby will be here Tuesday! So excited!

Christmas cheer

Hello ladies

It does seem a while since I have blogged, not quite sure why.

I have been realtively busy with the Christmas nights out starting. I went home to Wales last weekend and picked up the Matalan dress for a night out

Love the Christmas party season. Me and my mum went shopping and she bought me this for Christmas from Miss Selfridfe. The back of is competely lace, it is lovely

Love it! Need to arrange lots of nights out for next year to wear it!

Funnily enough then after not being in Swansea and seeing my rents since August they are up in London this weekend so yest i went to meet them for food....lunch in Garfunkels and dinner in the Stockpot in Soho (we have gone there ever since I was a little girl) its not a chain, I think there are two of them but the food is good and plentiful, me and my mum did some chritmas shopping while Dad went to the the Science museum. then we met up again had food and went off the theatre to see

Which was fantastic!

Todays plans include a bit more christmas shopping (am nearly done!)some cleaning and some school work.

To kindle or not to kindle....that is the question!

Hello

Now like a lot of the lovely ladies I am an avid reader, I would much rather read a book than watch TV, until last December I didn't even have a TV. Nothing made me happier than reading and my mum has recently suggested to me that maybe I would like a kindle for Christmas.

And my first reaction was......NO WAY! For some reason I was dead against it but I have been having a look online and thought I would write down a sort of pros and cons list.

Lets start with the positive

• Very lightweight and slim, won't take up much room
• Great for traveling or cycling
• long distance battery life
• Easy and quick to download books
• Lots of free classics
• Can trial books (first few chapters) for free

then the things that make me not so sure

• I love the look, smell and feel of books, will I miss that?
• Quite expensive to buy books especially if I don't like them
• Will I stop using the library so much?
• V expensive if I leave it somewhere or accidentally put it in the wash
• It is a type of technonlogy....the G-Unit is not exactly a technology friendly zone most of the time!

Hmmmmm decisions decisons........any ladies got a kindle? Yay or Nay?

Supermarket sweep, online offers and.......a pashmina!

Hello!

Goodness my they make this shopping malarky way too easy these days (not that I am complaining at all mind!)

I innocently trotted off to Tescos for my carrotts, coffee and cake and came back with.....

Black bow bag, (in the sale so would have been rude not too)

and

Black shift dress, I LOVE this so much! It is really falttering on and is so versatile, patterned tights, coloured tights, I think if I was every going to channel Audrey this with seemed stockings and a row of pearls would be perfect. They also do it in aubergine and plum so may invest....(hee hee hee just thought of a man reading reading that....aubergine and plum? she wants a dress made of vegetables????!)

Then I came home full of good intentions to do lots of work......on the New Look website (Bad G-Unit, very bad!)

New look have started offereing the buy online pick up in store offer which I really like. Our New Look is really small and all the kids i teach shop there, not a relaxing experince but I do hate paying for delivery this way easy.....and the jeggings had £3.00 off them each! Bargin

So As I strolled into town to pick up my jeggings (only two days after I ordered them) I walked past tie rack and spotted this baby

Now my cream pashmina had an unfortunate end with the washing machine (I didn't read the lable oops) and I have missed it because it goes with so much so to finish my story I bought it.

One very happy G-Unit!

I quite like winter I have to admit. I think I am a bit of a creature of habbit because I have my winter staples and my first one is scraves. I have to admit I love a scraf and have quite a collection.

These ones are just nice bright colours from the market stall

Since I wear a lot of grey and black to work so these add a bit of colour

These two are from RiverIsland, the brown one I bought the other one was a present and I love it. It has metal bits at the bottom which jingle while I walk

The last three are probs my favourites. I got them last year in Morrocco at the Medina. i would love to go back and get some more although I am not sure that is a really good reason to go on holiday!

I need a new cream scarf, mine had an accident in the wash!

Christmas time......

Mistletoe and wine.......fah la la la! Ooooh i have just come back from town and all the shops are really getting in the mood now. the decorations are up and John Lewis have all their lovely lights up so it got me thinking of christmas parties and what I am going to wear!

I really like this Matalaon dress but I haven't tried it yet, not sure what it will look like on

I do love a one shoulder style though and I have none in my wardrobe
